2021 will be a very memorable year for me for several reasons but especially one, Cristina Magro Coaching. Starting the year, I was feeling overwhelmed from my professional and personal commitments that were resulting in an seemingly overflowing plate. I was facing new opportunities that I believed would help grow my career but add more to my plate. My approach had always been to take advantage every single opportunity and up to that point, it had made me successful. I was on the verge of burnout and feeling trapped in the mid-level management rank. I didn’t know how to say no, and truthfully feared disappointing people that depended on me. The commitments were not paying off and I wondered whether I had reached my peak potential. I discovered Cristina through social media and initially was impressed by her credentials in Cybersecurity and media content on coaching. I was curious about “coaching” so I signed up for the free consultation. It didn’t take me long to make the decision to move forward on our coaching journey. She was professional, truly genuine, quick to listen and understand, then very precisely summarize what I shared with her coupled with insights that really hit the mark. The next several months took me on a transformation journey that I would have never imagined. We agreed upon my goals and quickly went to work addressing my pattern of thinking, my fears, relationships, my strengths and determined where to focus goals of the session. With every session, I gained new insights about myself and increased in confidence. Cristina was consistent, tremendously helpful in providing written recaps of our sessions, areas of further focus, and always affirmation and encouragement which were powerful. I emerged from our sessions with the realization that I haven’t reached my peak. Now feeling balanced, empowered with tools and the ability to think strategically, I feel confidently ready to the next level of my career. The timing couldn’t be better as I recently transitioned from the familiarity of a global information technology and defense company to a senior leadership role at a startup. In the last few months I had the chance to take some mentoring sessions with Cristina, as part of her MA in Coaching ans Mentoring at Oxford Brookes University. I admit I had no idea of what to expect, but I was very curious and for so I proposed myself as a volunteer.
